Master mechanic, Charlie Freehling not only turned a wrench for over fifty years but has given guidance to hundreds of mechanics over those years. From his early years with the U.S. Air Force to his many years with seaplanes at Antilles Air Boats and Virgin Island Seaplane Shuttle and then joining the Bohlke Aviation team, Charlie made each operation better with his experience and demeanor.
Charlie has been the greatest contributor to this website with his AAB photos, documents and artifacts.
I thank Charlie for his early guidance in my career, for his support of this website but mosty for his friendship over the many years.
