John lived a long and full life. He passed away on January 7, 2026 at the age of 102. John lived with my wife and I in Honolulu and remained very independent until just a few months before he passed.

Below you will find a little more about John including  memories of his years in WWII.

John S. Anusewicz passed on January 7, 2026 and arrangements began to have his interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. The planning included an Honor Guard from the U.S Army for an American flag presentation with a bugler playing taps. The day in May was chosen to allow for time to plan the trip as well as the expectation for warmer weather. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. A perfect day to say goodbye.
