Jimmy Buffett had an interest in flying and acquired his private pilot license around 1987. Charles F. Blair Jr. died in 1978. When Jimmy was playing at the Foggy Bottom Bar in Christiansted, St. Croix in 1976 , I'm sure he had the opportunity to meet Capt. Blair and talk about seaplanes.
